Responsibilities and Expectations:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist for IPS, you will apply Servant Leadership principles to build trust and open communication as you manage the IPS quality systems (CIPS). This position will also manage quality activities to ensure that all manufacturing, repairs, services, supplied material, and contract work meet customer requirements and reduce warranty and shop rework.
- Monitor, improve, and train staff in policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation as necessary to ensure practical implementation and compliance to customer, company, and system requirements.
- Implement inspection plans for purchased material, contract work, work in progress, and completed repairs.
- Perform audits, independent of repair personnel, at critical points in the repair process.
- Guide management and staff in evaluating repair processes to verify process controls and conformance to specifications and procedures.
- Guide management and staff in achieving improvements that provide a competitive advantage in capability, quality, and cycle time.
- Conduct regular audits. Through management, implement corrective actions and system improvements to eliminate deficiencies identified during audits.
- Ensure quality records are kept and maintained in order to identify opportunities for improvements, make informed decisions, and to provide evidence of quality performance.
- Collect and analyze quality performance data and provide regular summaries of quality performance metrics and activities as requested by management.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience.
- Training and experience in quality assurance.
- Willingness and ability to handle a variety of responsibilities.
- Ability to relate well with others in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Ability to train others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS applications or equivalent statistical software.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
